Summary/Abstract: Alina Bărbulescu suggests that in Romania, domestic violence was initially placed on the political agenda as a social problem, due to existing international pressures. In an attempt to raise public awareness on the issue of domestic violence, the studies allowed identifying the dimensions of domestic violence.
