Summary/Abstract: The present investigation tries to give a general view of the teaching in Roman law during fourteen centuries of history, without forgetting the political, social and economic sides, which will determine the creation and evolution of the Law and consequently its teaching. This long process will be determined by the different political views of the teaching of Law, which the eastern and western imperial power has in order to satisfy the needs of its civil and judicial imperial administration.
