Summary/Abstract: In the presented report at the First international Balkan conference are examined the influence of the roman law on the Bulgarian law of the First Bulgarian empire through the byzantine legal sources and also the influence of the roman law on the new private law of the Third Bulgarian kingdom through the codifications of the Western legal systems.
