Summary/Abstract: Radu Afrim’s The Drunks is the last in a long list of productions with the Hungarian company in Tg-Mureș. Boglárka Gál’s review concludes that the performance based on Ivan Viripayev’s play carries the strong visual and character-building conceptions characteristic for Afrim’s world, preserving sensitivity for the grotesque exaggeration of situations. Gál considers that the first part of the performance develops the problems raised by the play in a more complex manner than the second part, the metaphorical quality of which is more reductionist.
