Summary/Abstract: With every year rural tourism is gaining more and more popularity in Lithuania. More urban people choose country holidays. Rural tourism farmsteads have started using marketing mix tools. The activity of rural tourism is oriented to meet consumers’ needs. Research on rural tourism marketing is very important for the owners of farmsteads and consumers of rural tourism. The object of the research is rural tourism farmsteads and rural tourism consumers in Ignalina district. The aim of the work is to make the analysis of rural tourism marketing and to formulate marketing decisions for the development of rural tourism in Ignalina district. The methods of graphic and logical analysis were used in the work.
