Structural analysis of Koleje Śląskie transport network as an element of enterprise logistic strategy

Summary/Abstract: Transport networks are one of the most important elements of the smooth functioning of the economy of every country and its society. They also represent a key element for the functioning of transport companies, including companies performing public transport in a given area or region. The article analyzes the structural rail network used to carry out transport services by the Koleje Śląskie company. The analysis conducted and their results made it possible to obtain information about the current network structure and allowed to draw conclusions enabling potentially to improve the transport network analyzed by the company, which should be an important part of logistics strategy of the company.
