Summary/Abstract: The authors learn the basic problems of intelligentsia formation of Westernist type in Russia in the first half of the 19th century. Much attention is paid to the analysis of the historic roots and conditions of Westernist ideas and values development in the sphere of Russian intelligentsia. Special attention is paid to historiography and methodological problems of the given subject.
