Summary/Abstract: The specificity of publicity in family law results from the specificity of this branch of law, which also is resulting from the specificity of the regulatory object – family relations. Although it is a branch of private law, it contains regulations laid down by norms with predominantly imperative character, due to the interference between the private and the public interest of the institutions. The study analyzes how to make public the institutions of family law: publicity of marriage, publicity of marriage dissolution or its termination in other ways, publicity of matrimonial regimes, and in the matter of family and filiation. The study also highlights how to apply the principle of appearance in law in the field of family law institutions and the effect of knowing legal acts and deeds producing legal effects on spouses and third parties. The study is finalized by drawing conclusions from the analysis.
