Summary/Abstract: Izhâru’l-esrâr by Imam Birgivî (d. 981/1573), who was one of the leading figures of the Ottoman scholars, had widely been valued and taught in the Ottoman madrasas. Kuşadalı Mustafa b. Hamza’s Netâicü’l-efkâr has been the most famous and mostly regarded of all the commentaries of İzhâr. The book had been read for several decades in the Ottoman madrasas together with İzhâru’l-esrâr. In this essay, we have examined Netâicu’l-efkâr which is read in the Ottoman madrasas together with İzhâru’l-esrâr in case of its methodology, sources that writer benefited, contribution that provided to main text, nahv methodology and criticism towards it.
