Summary/Abstract: This paper intends to analyze the semasiological approaches of metaphor in the famous berlin speech of Roman Herzog from 26th April 1997. We took the semasiological approach of metaphor identification as methodology from Olaf Jäkel. The article follows as well several directions as source domains mentioned by Siegfried Schieder in the analysis of metaphor.
