Summary/Abstract: The article presents a study of the Turkish dialect spoken by the inhabitants of the village of Venets, municipality of Venets, Shumen region. It describes the characteristics of the studied Turkish dialect, existing and developing in a dialect medium, typical of the Misian Turkish dialect, mainly at a phonetic level as most typical representation of speech, the interaction of consonants and the phonetic phenomena related to them. With respect to the aim of the study, more attention is paid to the phonetic characteristics of the dialect, which distinguish it from the literary Turkish language. With regards to phonetics, the focus was not so much on individual words, but to phenomena contained in these words. The main methods of investigation were auditory analysis and transcription. The realization of the consonants in the speech is described. The transcription used in the study is based on the transcription, traditionally used in the Bulgarian Turkology.
