Summary/Abstract: Aware of the fact that we live in exponential times of uncontrolled development of technology and channels of communication, we do not even think anymore about their development, because we might be unable to track it. The fact is that the ten most wanted jobs in 2010 did not even exist six years before (2004). We live now in the year 2018. How many new working places that we did not know about have been created in the past eight years? In such a development of the mass media and the digitalisation of everything that exists, new forms of culture are being formed which should be learned and followed. The traditional parts of culture (customs, folk songs, tales, poems) are not that interesting in their current forms anymore, hence they too are being digitalised and they are undergoing the course of globalisation. The question is whether the traditional customs will survive that process and become digitalised? On the other hand, can the process of education keep up with globalisation, teach the young people about culture, cultural wealth and how to make that cultural wealth and diversities stay as colourful as they are? Where is Bosnia and Herzegovina in all that? How much can our society ''compete'' with those processes? This paper only raises the mentioned issues, with the aim of pointing out the need for a reform of the educational system in which more attention will be dedicated to the study of culture and digital media.
