Summary/Abstract: Rudolf Vimer was canon of the Zagreb Cathedral Chapter; vice-chancellor of the Royal University in Zagreb (1900/1901) and deputy vice-chancellor thereof (1901/1902); dean of the Faculty of Theology (1902/1903 and 1906/1907) and vice-dean thereof (1903/1904 and 1907/1908); corresponding member of the Yugoslav (today Croatian) Academy of Sciences and Arts according to one source; associate member of the Croatian Academy of Theology, the most learned priest in the Zagreb Diocese at the beginning of the 20th century; writer; polyglot; and benefactor.
