Summary/Abstract: The present article discusses certain problems usually associated with Bulgarian language teaching, both in the country and abroad. Linguists from the Institute for Bulgarian Language share their experience gained through a variety of initiatives. An emphasis is laid upon the importance of the students and learners’ using research approaches in their assimilation of study material, as well as upon the interaction between teacher and student.
