About Some Specifics of Speech Etiquette in Bulgarian and Slovak

Summary/Abstract: The article examines some specific features in Bulgarian and Slovak speech etiquette. The focus is on etiquette formulas such as greetings, salutations, wishes, addressing people, but also formulas which express desire and request. Many examples in Bulgarian and Slovak are given. The stress is layed on some lexical and grammatical differences in both languages which play an important role in communication and can explain some national-cultural specificity and will be helpful in avoiding the violation of the rules of proper verbal behavior and speech etiquette.
