Summary/Abstract: The article interprets selected works of two Belarusian writers, Sokrat Janowicz and Mira Łuksza and concentrates on the concept of ethnic focalization. Drawing on the idea of urban “mapping”, formulated by Katarzyna Szalewska, the author proposes one more strategy, namely ethinicization. This method seems indispensable in the topo-analysis of bi-ethnic regions, which evoke “hybrid constellations” between the author and the reader.
