Summary/Abstract: This paper examines intergenerational and socio-economic differentiation in the level of digital and information competencies in specific age groups in Slovakia. Using statistical methods, we verify significance of the differences in the level of digital competencies. Based on demographic data an the indings in digital literacy we point to age-related differences in the structure of digital literacy. Differences in the assessment of the importance of digital competencies for blue and white-collar workers realized on a sample of employment agencies’ workers reflect the impact of the offline social structure on digital literacy development.
