Summary/Abstract: This article is devoted to the conception of spiritual cognition which is analyzed as synthesis of theological and philosophical researches in the context of archimandrite Innokentiy’s creative work. His real name was Ivan Borysov and he was a representative of Kyiv spiritual and academic philosophy of the beginning of the 19th century. It has been found out that the scientist’s understanding of structural and functional aspects of cognitive activity is in close connection with moral theology, with elements of Christian anthropology and with theological metaphysics in the system of Orthodox culture.
