Summary/Abstract: This work aims to investigate the emergence of mythocritics, its critical-literary forms, in the French domain, developing a parallel with the Albanian literary thought, particularly that in Kosovo. Until after World War II, the myth was seen as history, faith and prejudice introduced in literature as descriptive and illustrative presence without being seen in its creative peculiarities as fictional text. Post-war brought a new perspective on the myth’s power as subject, idea, figure and narrative. The modern vision of French approaches on myth, embodied in the mythocritics notion, was partly conveyed in Kosovo from the early 1970s onwards. Although not nominally, according to the Genette's example, the myth necessarily complied with hypertextual practice, ludic, satirical or serious regime. Each mythic structure should recognize any of these functional regimes. The Albanian literary interpretation recognized and adopted this practice. In the horizons of today's study, it seems that the myth will be considered - au pluriel. This also happens in the Albanian literary thought.
