N. M. Chernyshevskaya and N. G. Chernyshevsky’s house museum in the years of the Great Patriotic War

Summary/Abstract: The article analyzes the activity of the Saratov memorial estate of N. G. Chernyshevsky under the leadership of the director Nina Mikhaylovna Chernyshevskaya — the granddaughter of the Great Russian writer, the thinker and the citizen. On the basis of archival documents, materials of the periodical press is shown the work of the employees who managed to keep valuable sources and exhibits quickly to reconstruct the mode and forms of work and also to continue functioning of the museum in extreme military conditions that made the contribution to development of patriotism, heroism and courage of the Russian people which won fascism.
