Summary/Abstract: On the basis of the analysis of books and articles of prominent representatives of Social Revolutionaries and popular socialists the author reconstructs basic provisions of the neo-populist concept of Russian intelligentsia as a special «ideological group». Features of interpretation by neo-populists of a problem of relationship of the intelligentsia and the people are established. The reasons of triumph and the tragedy of party of revolutionary socialists in 1917—1918 are analyzed.
