Summary/Abstract: The article considers the churchy-musical activity of the priest P. Bazhanskyj (1836- 1920) – the representative of the elder generation of the priests-composers of Galicia. The multivectorial active searching of the priest P. Bazhanskyj directed towards the practical adoption of the traditional forms of the churchy singing in the greko-catholic custom are highlighted.
