L’EUROPEANISATION DE LA ROUMANIE – UN ACTE DE RECHERCHE ACADEMIQUE

Summary/Abstract: The full paper (“Romania’s Europenisation – An academic research endeavor”) presented by the authors at the 14th Session of the Interacademic International Seminar Penser l‟Europe, in October 2015, at the Romanian Academy, Bucharest. The authors briefly review Romania’s steps towards the accession to the European Union and reveal a significant feature: the contribution of the academic research to define the stages of the action, the strategic objectives and raising the awareness of the undisputable advantages of the accession. The results of this academic endeavor were the politically assumed and changed into specific actions for the negotiation of Romania’s accession to the EU on the 1st of January, 2007.
