Celebrating transgender in the times of cisnormative activism

Summary/Abstract: In the face of a strong cisnormativity of the movement for LBGTQIA people, the transgender activism is searching for own ways to fulfil its objectives. The strategies of building the identity of actions have many faces, including the recapturing of appropriated historical events, discovering forgotten but major figures and actions, as well as setting up and celebrating new red-letter days, the purpose of which is to build solidarity and draw attention to issues important for the trans-community. From the Remembrance Day to the Day of Action for Trans Depathologisation, the actions in favour of trans-people are not only a struggle for the rights understood as codified rules, but a fight for survival in a world where everyone wants to destroy you.
