Summary/Abstract: The text focuses on one of the aspects that results from the development of thought dealing with colonialism, coloniality and post-coloniality. I am interested in the use of the self-colonising metaphor to describe local actions depicted as promoting equality, anti-discrimination and identity. The Kiossev's metaphor helps in my critical view of how the contemporary Polish LGBT+ organisations work and what kind of history they build. In practical terms, this serves two purposes. The first one is to fill in the information regarding emancipation movements in Poznań. The second relates to the complication of historical research and is an attempt to answer the question of whether a subjective activity of LBGT+ organisations in their own cause is possible. The text attempts to answer the question how to write the history of local emancipation activities.
