Summary/Abstract: In todays globalized world, individuals develop many complementary identities, resulting from their participation in the life of conccurrently existing social groups. Ethnic, regional or cultural are among the collective identities that play an important role in human life (...). European Union through a multi-level governance system seeks to build a European identity that is a derivate of the integration process.
