Summary/Abstract: The article looks at the selected issues related to the Polish community in the UK. As a result of the great wave of labour migration following Poland’s entry into the EU in 2004, approximately one milion Poles currently live and work in the UK. The authors discuss demographics, including size of the community and its distribution, migration patterns, occupational careers and position on labour market, integration and other social questions.
