Ukrainian Performing Trombone Games: Origins and Current Status

Summary/Abstract: The paper studies the history of the development of Ukrainian trombone performance. The stages of formation and development of the Ukrainian trombone school, taking into consideration the specific performance features characterizing performance in different regions of Ukraine, are revised. The paper provides an objective review of the contribution of Ukrainian pedagogues and performers to the process of the development of the methodological fundamentals of trombone performance, a comparative analysis of the contemporary situation of Ukrainian and foreign performance and the state of teaching in this sphere of musical art.
