Summary/Abstract: The paper is focused on the main directions of the institutional strategic plans of the Labor Ministry from Romania and the reflection of these priorities on the budget of the Ministry since2007. The analysis is based on the annual reports of the Romanian Courts of Accounts. The aim of the strategic planning is to strength the conection between planning of public policies and incresing the efficiency of public spending. The reports of the Romanian Courts of Accounts for the 2009, when the first strategic plan was implemented, indicates that the budget part of the plan was not reflected in the Ministry activity.
