Summary/Abstract: The article deals with Luthers central theological insight of reformation focused on his concept of worship and of last supper (eucharist). Th e centre of worship according to Luther is no longer the altar but the heart of every individual. In this way Luther opens the way to the concept of “subjectivity” developed in the age of enlightenment.
