The dramatic functions of film music in the film "Mamay"

Summary/Abstract: The article deals with sufficiently influential function of music in the cinema. Dramaturgical function based on the example of the motion picture «Mamay» (director Oles Sanin, composer Alla Zagaykevich) by analyzing the scenes, the basic dramaturgical functions in the film's music are revealed. For the précise determination of the dramaturgical functions of music in «Mamay», its role is examined in the separate categories based on the research of the Polish musicologist S. Lissа. Thus, the represented scenes of the film are distributed in them in accordance with that dramaturgical function of film's music, which it in itself contains.
