Summary/Abstract: The article shows the experience of the Polish government in issuing green bonds. The first part of the paper presents the essence of green bonds and gives an illustration of a polish green government bonds issuance structure. The second part of the paper brings an attempt of evaluation the polish green government bonds issuance program with an identification the opportunities and threats of financing on the green bond market.
