Summary/Abstract: The author of the article analyses the international situation in the spring of 1917, the way Romania was regarded in Western administrations and the efforts made by the remarkable personalities of Romanian politics for promoting national interests.Moreover, the author presents the main documents that were issued internationally, regarding the statute that Romania was going to have in the aftermath of World War 1 and the efforts made by Romanian diplomats for the Western acknowledgement of Romanian people’s rightful aspirations.
