Summary/Abstract: Emese Denes’s sociographic report shows today’s Székelyvarság. The 101 year-old colony is a special place in Transylvania since its inception. Counter to the neighboring villages this one is no ta historical one but a farming colony existing as a result of a long period of evolution of economical history. The majority of the youth gives up education after middle school. The place has a huge touristic potential which would help to renew the quality of life. Though everyday life is hard, the report emphasizes its positive aspects: the colony still has a future.
