Summary/Abstract: The problem of overlapping of dialectology and toponyiy discussed in the paper has several research aspects: , 1. It is important to study words used in dialects but unrecorded in general, dictionaries; this may contribute to a proper and exact analysis of topographic names; 2. it is the dialectal toponymie forms and not the official, standard ones which often are continuations of the original forme. It is especially important to note this fact in the Germanized or frontier areas.
