Summary/Abstract: The paper discusses the importance of rhetorical skills and their role in training students for successful verbal communication. Introduction to the theory of rhetoric, the analysis of selected texts speaking examples, recognition of rhetorical elements of speech and their use, are placed in the function of developing speaking skills of students and improve their oral expression. The methodology of teaching rhetoric includes practical exercises public appearances based on the application of techniques and principles of oration in order to enable the development of eloquence students.
