Summary/Abstract: There are many researches and studies on the origins of the Gagavuz Turks. Gagoğuz, Gök-Oğuz, and Gaygauz, the status of this nation in the midst of various conflicts has gained a special importance in terms of international relations, especially in the border of Eurasia region. Turks living in the Gagauzia Autonomous Territory due to the Republic of Moldova are exposed to the interventions of the Russian Federation because they are religiously differentiated from other Turks and are politically open to external factors. In this study, the historical background of today's Gagavuz Turks and their positions in the Gagavuz Autonomous Region will be discussed.
