Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study is to examine the effect of Argumentation Based Science Learning Approach (ABSL) on academic success of gifted students in science classes. The model of the research is a trial model composed of mixed research methods and true experimental design with pretest and posttest control group. The sample of the research consists of 44 gifted students who are in the 8th grade in Science and Arts Center. In the beginning and at the end of the study, Force and Motion Success Test were applied to the experiment and control groups and the differences within and between the groups were determined. After the study there was a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in favor of the experimental group in terms of academic achievement.
