Summary/Abstract: The basic wikonomic business patterns that can be applied in public administration include prosumption and platforms for participation. They are complementary to each other. The article presents an evaluation of the rationale behind the application of ten proposed prosumption principles in the public administration sector. The conclusions are based on opinions expressed by clients of municipal public administration offices. Additionally, the possibility of transforming municipal websites into social platforms for participation was examined. With this aim in view, ten new criteria of website functionality were proposed.
