Summary/Abstract: Labour mobility in South-West Oltenia depends largely on government policies relating to national economic development and consequently to South West Oltenia’s development. The transition to a market economy resulted in fewer employees together with the reduction of the number of economic units following privatization, and the exodus abroad of those who are looking for a better standard of living.
