Romania's pollution in the last year of the communist regime

Summary/Abstract: The Romanians used to say in 1989 that Nicolae Ceauşescu did notm know what was happening in the country because the local authorities did not want to have problems because of that. This well-known opinion was completely false and we show in our paper two very important Romanian problems of that period studied by Ceauşescu: the chemical pollution and the water for agriculture.
