INFORMATION SECURITY IN NETWORK CENTRIC WARFARE (NCW) - THROUGH SPECIALIZED SOFTWARE - SIGNIFICANT INDICATOR IN INTERNATIONAL MISSIONS

Summary/Abstract: Article aims to present the concept of Network-Centric Warfare (NCW) which corresponds to a large extent, through its form and its content, a new phase in the development of human society. NCW is a cutting edge concept of conflicting information and technology, with global functioning, accessible, yet, only to entities that have advanced systems of investigation, analysis and knowledge, high technology (high tech), information technology (IT) and hardware and software structures required for their use. The management and network security is the primary means to achieve data transmission speed, data protection and real knowledge of the situation. NCW requires horizontal integration through information sharing at all levels (strategic, operational and tactical). Information security in NCW – through specialized software - is a significant indicator of the international missions of the armed forces.
