Summary/Abstract: In this text, author analyzes artistic use of media discourse in Shirin Neshat’s work Women of Allah. Analysis is conducted through examination of elements that are related with meaning production. The elements that are taken in consideration are chador, weapon and farsi text. Text shows that author, by applying specific artistic approach, destabilizes interpretation of photographs, by which she attract viewer to examine his/her own approaches to reading.
