Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the results of a study of best practices in the field of environmental education in the teaching experience of developed countries. It systematizes and summarizes traditions and innovations as starting points for the updating of the content and technological organization of the child - nature interaction in line with the dynamics of the social demands and expectations related to the achievement of the ideas of sustainable development in education.
