Summary/Abstract: Since human beings are translating, they have constantly made reflections on how to translate. For all practitioners of the profession these reflections often translate into contrasting of freedom vs. obligation, in letter vs. spirit, in feeling vs. duty, in love vs. devotion, in heartbreak vs. remorse, in body vs. soul, even in temptations vs. betrayals, ... in translatable vs. untranslatable ... I suggest you savor the charm of this emancipatory activity, because translation is an excellent example where the transfer of intercultural values is realized in the most tangible way. It is the terrain where the worlds cross perfectly, whether on the literary highways of the West or on the traditional bridges of the Balkans.
