Summary/Abstract: The article focuses on the subject of Internet communication from the perspective of the Catholic Church. The author presents arguments, deriving also from some official documents of the Church, which allow to look at the Internet as an opportunity of effective activity of the Church in the media. The main thesis of the article is the idea that websites run by institutions of the Church must be professional, which in this study is understood as the fulfillment of their communicative function. The author presents the Website Communication Model, as a useful tool to analyze websites from this perspective.
