Reception problem of the Third Secret of Fatima after its announcement

Summary/Abstract: Once the date of revealing of the Third Secret of Fatima was known, the public waited in anticipation of its content. Following its disclosure on June 26, 2000, there was no atmosphere or sensation, or any special response among people. A theological commentary to the Third Part of the Secret of Fatima was drawn up by the then Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, Joseph Ratzinger, who explained all threads of the mystery. Therefore, in theology, beyond reference to this commentary, there was not any special reception. Antonio Socii, an Italian journalist, carried out some kind of investigation if the entire text of the secret has been revealed. For theology, however, it is important to emphasize the basic message of the whole Secret of Fatima, which is the call for faith and penance.
