Summary/Abstract: On the local Synods the Church reflect on its activities and sets goals for the future. Polish Local Synods in Poland (1967-1994) always take the cult of Mary. The Synods confirmed devotions to The Blessed Virgin Mary. It is noted that in the particular Churches the importance of worship both traditional and new, for specific groups, in the sanctuaries and in the individual piety. In the Synod’s documents the devotion to Mary is presented as theocentric and Christocentric devotion, based on the Bible and the teaching of the Church, associated with life's problems and directed to the apostolate. The documents draw attention to the balance between faith and reason, mind and heart. During the devotion should be homilies, reflections, songs and proper relationship with the adoration of the Eucharist. It’s very important in the service in May, devotion to Mary Mother of Mercy, Immaculate Heart of Mary, Our Lady Queen of Polish and Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Help. An important role plays Rosary learning the spirit of contemplation. It should explain the symbolism of the Bible in devotion to Mary. Specific for Poland there are Appeal of Jasna Gora and peregrination of the image of Our Lady of Czestochowa. The peregrination takes place in dioceses, parishes and homes of the faithful.
