Summary/Abstract: The article investigates the role and scale of transnational corporations and the process of transnationalization. The main characteristics of their activities are systematized. The list of the largest TNCs of the world is presented. The dynamics of direct foreign investment of TNCs in the world regions is analyzed. The value of TNCs in the system of modern international economic relations is revealed.
