Summary/Abstract: The Holy See started the process of the beatification of Archbishop Mečislovas Reinys (1884-1953), a martyr of Lithuania. In the multifarious activity of the archbishop, education occupies an important place. He disseminated his pedagogical ideas in many articles and during his work with various organisations of Catholic youth. These ideas are still relevant. Many Catholic schools in Lithuania pay them great respect. Following the ideas of Reinys, the Aušra Catholic secondary school in Rietavas organises annual conferences for young historians.
